The Fashion and Costume Museum also boasts a precious collection of dolls dating back to the start of the XVIII century. The booklet proposes a selection of the most significant items in the collection which tell of the development of the doll from the most ancient examples made of porcelain with real hair and precious silk clothes to the more recent ones made of wood and composition, straw and cotton covered with fabric, up to the more recent celluloid models.
